About the group

Four decades.
One family of companies.

The Global Group of Carr Companies is a multi-national group built company by company since 1977 — operating businesses across seven sectors in the United States and New Zealand.

Our story

Operators first, investors second.

GGOCC didn't start as a holding company. It grew from a working practice — Carr Consulting P.A., a registered investment adviser since 1977, and Better Business Services, filing taxes for small businesses since 1983.

Each company since has been built the same way: find real work that needs doing well — preparing returns, billing energy customers, connecting rural homes, developing land on Lake Dunstan — and do it for the long term.

Today the group spans fourteen companies and brands across the United States and New Zealand, including active real estate development in both countries.

Our mission

Built to last, run to serve

To own and operate exceptional businesses on both sides of the Pacific — businesses that serve their customers well, treat expertise as a craft, and create lasting value for the communities they call home.

How we work

Four things we won't trade.

Craft

Expertise, earned

Six professional designations behind the founding practice — and the same standard of mastery expected in every company we run.

Integrity

Trusted for decades

Clients have trusted us with their taxes, savings and land since 1977. That trust is the group's most valuable asset.

Stewardship

Long-term by default

From merino wool to lakefront land, we build businesses meant to outlast us — patiently, sustainably, without shortcuts.

Two hemispheres

Local on both sides

Texan in Texas, Kiwi in Central Otago — every company is run by people who live where they work.
